Herbert James Tweedie, Jr. (July 1864 – July 9, 1906) was an English golf course architect. Tweedie was one of the first golf course designers to build courses in the American midwest. ==Early life== Tweedie was born in Bombay, India, in July 1864〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:1900-census-Cook_County-EvanstonTownship-Herbert.J.Tweedie.jpg )〕 to parents of Scottish ancestry. He spent his formative years in Hoylake, England, where his father was a founding member of the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in 1869.
